Document controller – Oslo

Introduction

Function

As a Document Controller in the PMO, you will play a crucial role in supporting Company’s capital projects across various renewable energy technologies, including hydropower, wind, solar, and batteries. Your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • System Administration and Maintenance: You will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the digital project collaboration tool (Interaxo) used in the projects you are assigned to as a document manager. This includes developing and maintaining access rights
  • Project Kick-off Meetings: Conduct kick-off meetings to ensure that the correct use of the digital collaboration tool is demonstrated, educated, and agreed upon at project start-up
  • Daily Support: Provide daily support to internal project members and contractors/consultants to ensure smooth operation and adherence to document management processes
  • Training: Perform training sessions for internal project members and contractors/consultants on the use of the digital collaboration tool and document management requirements
  • Network Participation: Participate in Project Document Manager network meetings to share lessons learned and improvement proposals 
  • Document Management: Oversee day-to-day document management activities, including tracking progress on project document deliverables and ensuring compliance with Company’s project information and document management requirements

Requirements

  • Experience with document and information management, preferably knowledge of ISO30301 and ISO15489 standards
  • Familiarity with document management systems and capital project models
  • Skills in information architectures, metadata, retention, and access management
  • Experience in system administration and providing support and training to others in the use of digital systems
  • Knowledge of Interaxo is beneficial, but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
  • Strong social and communication skills, with the ability to lead, teach, and help others learn
  • Ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and engaging manner, both in person and digitally
  • Organized, structured, and service-minded team player
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required. Scandinavian and German language skills are a benefit.
